HB1899 Rebuild After Fire – Helpful

Pete’s Bills is a short list of important bills that have been read and should be testified on in his opinion. If you are one of those who is happy to sit back on the couch and only complain after a law is in effect, this is probably not enjoyable reading for you.

We can choose which are the most important to us and act on them.

This is set up to assist others in learning how to save time as they learn about this and begin to participate too. It is a “many hands” thing. People who want to get up off of the couch and do something. Hopefully, more citizens will stand up and take an active role in monitoring what politicians are doing over there in Olympia. By communicating with the lawmakers, we could introduce some common sense and prevent ridiculous laws from being passed in the first place.</!–more–>

HB1899 Will allow those us in the process of rebuilding after the fire to use the January 1, 2023 BUILDING CODES. This covers the areas burned in Washington: the Oregon Road Fire, the Gray Fire, the Eagle Bluff Fire, the Newell Road Fire, the Baird Springs Fire, and the Tunnel Five Fire (list not limited to these).

NOTE: The building code change that OUTLAWS – PROPANE INSTALLATIONS went into effect at the end of October 31, 2023. So, if we get enough people to testify in favor of passing this law (PRO) we stand a good chance of being able to rebuild using propane heat and appliances.

  1. What take our only source of heating and cooking this is so wrong. We have gone threw enough. This is the only way my family has of cooking. Let us all keep our propane and continue to rebuild with our propane. Lot of us live in travel trailers and fifthwheels our only source of cooking and heatin. Especially during power outages and winter months.
